Imagine a stranger walks up to you and says:

“Give me your name, phone number, email address, location, contacts, and photos. Don't worry, I'll tell you later what I need them for.”

Most of us would say no immediately.

Yet many of us do exactly that online.

We download an app, create an account, see a long privacy notice, and click “Agree” without reading a single line.

A privacy notice is more than legal jargon. It tells you who is collecting your information, why they need it, who they may share it with, how long they will keep it, and what rights you have over your data.

Before sharing personal information, take a moment to ask: Why does this app need this information? Is the purpose clearly explained? Can I find a privacy notice? Do I have a choice, or am I being pressured into agreeing?

If the answers are unclear, that's a red flag.

Today's Challenge: Before clicking “Agree” on any app or website, spend 30 seconds checking the privacy notice. You may discover more than you expected.

Thank you 🤍
